Group Workshops & Public Events

For members of the general public and Yarra Ranges community

We host workshops and events throughout the year to provide opportunities for anyone interested in the arts to come together, connect and creatively express themselves.

Our offerings are immersive art-making experiences, engaging the senses and igniting the imagination to facilitate self-discovery, personal development, and connection with ourselves, our community and the world around us.

Open to all (18+). No artistic experience or skill is necessary.

  • All workshops and events are currently facilitated live online, so you can access your booking from the comfort of your own home. Please note that workshops are in AEST/AEDT timezones.

    Depending on interest and capacity, we may consider offering in-person programs in the near future. Let us know if this is something you’re interested in and what topics you’d like us to offer!

  • For online workshops, you’ll need:

    • A quiet and comfortable space away from distractions, where you can talk and create freely;

    • A fully charged or plugged-in device with camera, microphone and speaker functionality (e.g., computer, tablet);

    • Stable internet connection to access the workshop link;

    • Any materials you have on hand*.

    *Materials: Our online workshops are designed to use basic materials of any kind, including pen and paper if that’s all you have access to. You can also prepare materials that you’d like to work with, such as paints, modelling clay, collaging materials or anything else that comes to mind. If a workshop does require specific materials, we will list them in the event description so please have a look there prior to booking. If you still feel unsure, email us (support@beyondvalleys.com.au) and we can guide you in the right direction.

    Please note: We do not generally check emails within 3 days of a scheduled workshop, as this time is reserved for planning and preparation. If you have an enquiry, please let us know at least 3 days in advance so we can get back to you.

  • Our group workshops and events will support your personal growth and development, but they are not therapy groups. While the process of art-making can have a therapeutic benefit, our focus is on learning, creating and connecting as a community. Participants will need to be able to look after their own mental and emotional wellbeing during the session, and be mindful of others when sharing personal experiences.

    If you are looking to address specific mental health concerns relating to your individual circumstance, please see our Individual Art Therapy service or seek the support of a qualified therapist.

  • Places are limited and bookings are required to secure your spot. Please click the button below to view, learn more and book upcoming workshops and events.

    We look forward to seeing you there!
