School, Hospital & Community Outreach
1:1 or group outreach in Melbourne and the Yarra Ranges
We strive to support communities to be compassionate, connected and resilient, where every individual has a voice, feels seen and heard, and is empowered to embrace their journey with courage and authenticity.
Towards this vision, we have established a leading, therapeutic arts outreach service in the Yarra Ranges, servicing local area needs in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
Our outreach service goes beyond traditional service approaches and works collaboratively with schools, hospitals and community-based organisations, bringing evidence-informed creative arts programs to strengthen their support and advocacy for the wellbeing of those they serve.
This service is available to all schools, hospitals, and community-based organisations in Melbourne and the Yarra Ranges.
-
Our outreach service offers the design and delivery of a specialised therapeutic arts program, developed in collaboration with the school, hospital or community-based organisation requesting our service.
Our programs provide tailored, arts-based experiences relevant to each unique workplace context, and aim to facilitate positive outcomes for participants across a range of health and wellbeing dimensions, including physical, mental, emotional and social. The participants of these workplaces may be students, in-patients, clients, carers, marginalised groups or local members of the community.
Our programs seamlessly integrate with other existing services and employ a range of creative modalities, such as visual arts expression and embodied movement, to offer a flexible and effective form of support that goes beyond the limits of verbal language.
-
We offer flexible delivery formats to ensure our outreach programs are accessible, effective and responsive to the needs of your participants.
The delivery of your program can be configured in a number of ways, in terms of the number of sessions, participants, program timeframe and design. For example, programs can be delivered as a single event, or as a combination of group and individual events.
It is important to emphasise that our programs do not need to have a therapy focus.
A program can be art therapy informed without being a therapy program, in the case of delivering mental health awareness campaigns or general public events that create opportunities for learning, engagement and education.
A program can provide personal therapy, in the case of facilitating individual or group art therapy sessions through your school, hospital or community organisation. In this context, we will work with you to build a safe and ethical framework for service delivery that includes a formal intake and consent process. Participant confidentiality, rights and wellbeing are paramount to our practice at all times.
We value the work of collaboration and can bring our extensive experience in program design, to the extent that is needed, to support you in finding the best options.
